70 Years Ago – 1952 Old Timers Reunion

The 1952 Old Timers Reunion in Cheyenne attracted 30,000 people according to The Cheyenne Star. There were thirty-one county floats in the parade. The Cheyenne Garden Club won first place. Clinton was selected as having the most colorful section in the parade. Miss Billie Wilson, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. J.J. Wilson, was crowned 1952 Queen of the Cheyenne & Arapaho Association. Congressman Victor Wickersham placed the crown upon her head. Attendants of the Queen were Joan Bingham, Beverly Hubbard, Lanita Maddux, Lorene Potts, Joan Ridgeway and Lois Gwartney.
