84th Annual Rodeo Parade

Ashton Cockrell, 2022-2027 C & A Old Settler’s Queen, participated in the 84th Annual Rodeo Parade in Elk City, OK on Saturday, September 3. Joining Ashton on her float were her cousins: Emersyn, London, & Lenora Lippencott. All ladies riding the float are descendants of James M. Porter who made the Oklahoma Land Run in 1892 and claimed land, which is still in the family today. Ashton and her family would like to thank Dondi and Wendy Johnson for the use of their immaculate barn to build the float and John Lippencott for helping disassemble the float.
