Anna Lee Forester Porter, 83, of Dill City, Oklahoma was born on September 6, 1937 by a midwife in Glendale, Arizona to parents W.E. (Pete) and Ellen Forester. She was the third child of eleven children. Anna Attended school at Las Cruces and Alamogordo, New Mexico as well as Cheyenne, Oklahoma.
Anna Lee married Ervie Porter on November 19, 1954 in Sayre, Oklahoma and three children were born to this union, Debbie, Tim and Perry.
As a young teenager she began playing the piano (by ear) which was her hearts desire. She played on the praise team at church along with family members. Being talented in piano, she was also an avid bowler and very witty, she enjoyed riding horseback and even bull riding at the Cheyenne Rodeo. The real love of her life was her nursing career, which she was caring and dedicated to working along side of many special women. Anna Lee enjoyed sharing a good laugh with Betty Conway and Dr. Buster.
Anna Lee would read her Bible faithfully and the worn pages were the evidence of her love for her savior, Jesus Christ.
Anna Lee and Ervie celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary on November 19, 2014 with friends and family gathered together sharing laughter and tears. Anna Lee passed away peacefully at home, another hearts desire she held, at the age of 83 years, 10 months and 3 days.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Martin- Dugger Funeral Home, Elk City, Oklahoma. Mark Dodson will officiate, Clint McManaman will assist.
Interment will be at Fairlawn Cemetery, Elk City, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the care of Richard and Tammy Dugger and the staff of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma.
Cherishing her memory is her daughter, Debbie Mc- Manaman and her husband, Rick; two sons, Tim Porter and his wife, Rebecca and Perry Porter; two brothers, Lonnie Forester and Randy Forester; one sister, Retha Bruce; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; the Comforting Hands Hospice Staff, Dr. Erick Derocher and Staff, Janice Boatman. Preceded in death by her husband, Ervie; her parents, Pete and Ellen Forester; four sisters, Louise Berry, LaVerne Musick, LaVonne Mayfield, and Velda Moore; three brothers, William Forester, Ronnie Forester and baby Leon Forester.
