Barton Served Two Tours in Vietnam

SERVING…Jim Barton, of Arapaho, Oklahoma, volunteered for the U.S. Army and servedfrom 1963-66. He served nineteen months and one day in Vietnam. During his first tourhe was a classified courier and a right door gunner on the Huey helicopter. During his second tour he served as a Munitions Transport Specialist. (Photo provided) Jim R. Barton, a 1962 Cheyenne High School graduate, enlisted in the volunteer regular Army in 1963 and served until 1966. He also volunteered for Airbourne Training when he joined. During his time in the service, he did two tours in Vietnam, spending nineteen months in that country.…
