Brenda Delores Rogers 1948 ~ 2021


Brenda Delores Rogers was born May 13th, 1948 in Martinez, California to Daphend (Adkisson) and Loyal W. Tyler, Sr. She passed away Thursday, December 23rd, 2021 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 73. She was married to Darryl Lee Rogers at Wellington, Texas on January 1st, 1964.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Brenda is survived by her 2 sons, Todd Rogers and wife, Susan, Cheyenne, OK, and Brant Rogers and wife, Darla, Cheyenne, OK; 4 grandchildren, Cole Rogers and wife, Dara, Cooper Rogers, Caden Rogers and Casen Rogers; 2 brothers, Loyal “Smalley” Tyler and wife, Glenda and Ronnie Tyler and wife, Leslie; 2 sisters, Judy Fuller and husband, James and Beverly Brewster and husband, Rick; special friend, Ward Alford and a host of other relatives and friends. Brenda lived for her sons and grandsons and they made her so proud and happy. Her life was made for the times she spent with the “6” boys yelling at them and for them. They were they lights of her life. Brenda and Darryl’s lives revolved around their “boys”. Brenda could most frequently be seen on the road to and from any sporting event her grandsons were a part of or associated with. She was even known to “adopt” her grandsons friends as her own and treat them to snacks, yell at the refs on their behalf and treat them as her own.

Brenda, being the wife of a coach, began her teaching career in Oney, Sterling, Taloga, and Reydon, Oklahoma. She obtained her master’s degree in administration and served as a principal at Texhoma and Coil Public Schools. Many student hated going to her class, but left loving her and the subjects that she taught. Brenda was kind, caring, loving and a generous woman and will be missed by everyone whose life she touched.
