CDC Reports Show 94% of COVID-19 Deaths in U.S. had Contributing Conditions

(AP, August 31, 2020) — The CDC released new data that depicts how many Americans who have died from COVID-19 also had contributing conditions. Only 6% of COVID-19 deaths have the virus as the only cause mentioned, according to the report, revealing that 94% who died from coronavirus also had other “health conditions and contributing causes.” The report reads “For deaths with conditions or causes in addition to COVOD-19, on average, there were 2.6 additional conditions or causes per death.” The CDC listed the following as the top 5 conditions contributing to deaths where COVID-19 was listed on the death…
