Henry Keahey, farmer near Crawford, attempted to take his own life by taking Carbolic Acid. Dr. J.N. Cross of Cheyenne, was summoned who administered to him and at the time of going to press Thursday, Mr. Keahey is reported to be improving and it is thought that he will recover. According to Dr. Cross’ theory, the carbolic acid was contained in a small necked bottle and that when he attempted to swallow the poison it ran out slowly burning his mouth and throat so badly that his throat voluntarily closed up preventing the poison from entering the stomach.
