Roger Mills County residents voted a two-mill library levy on September 9, 1969 to continue library service through the Western Library System. The total votes cast for the levy were 721. 445 voted for the levy and 275 voted against. Those from Cheyenne attending an Industrial Development Workshop in Weatherford, which Governor Bartlett spoke, Friday were Rev. Milton Gage, Jerry Wilson, G.B. Purcell, Jess Dooty, Ron Hubbard and Eugene Savage. The seminar was held in Weatherford.
