Cheyenne 50 Years Ago

Another snow started to fall in Roger Mills County about 6:30 p.m. Saturday and continued to fall through Sunday and early Monday morning, dumping as much as seven inches in some places. The snow falling on ground already slick from a freezing rain made all roads hazardous to travel. Although many schools were closed Monday, Cheyenne School was open.The snow was accompanied by extremely cold weather, temperatures varying between 5-10 degrees for low and 20 degrees for high. This is the twelfth snow since the 18th of November. K.C. Perryman, local attorney, was elected chairman of the Roger Mills County…
