Spec Lester and his Mule Team & Wagon were out giving children a ride on Christmas Eve. This probably was the first time many children had ridden in a wagon. The passing of the year 1969 into history was marked by a severe snowstorm. Weather in its extremes had its affect on Roger Mills County. Although the total amount of precipitation, 22.76 inches, was little below the 24- inch average, there were periods of sever dry weather. At other times rains fell in torrents.
