Cheyenne 50 Years Ago

On Saturday night May 18th, three robberies were committed in the night hours. The Cheyenne businesses that were robbed are the A.L. West Lumber Yard, Carter Auto Supply and Cordell Mercantile. Cash and merchandise was taken from all three businesses. Melda Cannon, Cheyenne, received the English award pin presented annually by the Platonic Club to the graduating senior girl with the highest 4-years average in English. She is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Bobby Cannon. The Reydon Eighth grade class graduated May 9 with Rex LeGrand as Valedictorian and Nina Jo Isch as Salutatorian.
