Cheyenne 50 Years Ago

J.N. Dewey, age 39, son of Mrs. Sallie Dewey, and a life-long resident of Cheyenne, was killed Tuesday about 8:30 a.m. when his plane struck the ground and burned on the Al Hammond Ranch. J.N and George Wright were returning from Durham community in separate planes where they were spraying crops. George landed his plane and pulled J.N. from the wreckage. Mr. Wright sustained burns on his hands and arms. Eldon Krause has returned to Cheyenne assuming the duties as Farmers Home Administration County Supervisor.
