The first snow of the year provided some pretty scenery. Most of the snow in the county drifted and very little moisture was provided. Our temperatures dropped to a new low of around 8 degrees. Wm. D. Shockey has resigned as undersheriff of Roger Mills County, a position he has held for the past four years. Mr. Shockey resigned to become marshal for the City of Hammon which pays a greater salary then he was receiving as undersheriff. Mrs. Bessie S. McColgin observed her 95th Birthday January 1, 1970.
