Cheyenne 50 Years Ago

Donald (Don) W. Dye has been named Undersheriff of Roger Mills County. The new undersheriff comes to this county from Lubbock, Texas where he served 8 years on the police force, 3 years of which was in the canine department. Mr. Dye, his wife and their four children, ages 10, 7, 5 and 1 year have moved to Cheyenne. Don is a son of Paul Dye of Cheyenne. The Cheyenne High School Girls Basketball Team received an award for sportsmanship at the conclusion of the Invitational Tournament held in Darraouzett, Texas last week.
