Cheyenne 50 Years Ago

Cheyenne sustained what is probably the greatest fire loss in its history early Tuesday morning when the Haight Building and contents was entirely destroyed. The building, owned by T.R. Haight, was occupied by Lindy’s Implement Company. The company is owned by Lindy Sasser. The total loss was estimated at $100,000. The fire alarm sounded about 6:00am when black smoke boiled out of the building. The fire Department contained the fire to the one building which was a total loss.
