As a young girl she moved with her parents to Lone Oak community. Jo attended schools at Sayre graduating in 1955. After graduation she found employment at a bank in Amarillo, Texas and was later married Jack Brown on August 24, 1957. In 2009 when a fire consumed their house, one of Jo’s biggest concerns was getting a shop up and operational at her house.
