Danne Beason 1940 ~ 2022

Danne Beason was born September 18th, 1940 in Lewisville, Arkansas to Oneida Georgia Mae (Wheelington) and William Riley Beason. He passed away in his home at Hammon, Oklahoma at the age of 81 years, 8 months and 20 days.

Danne grew up in Lewisville, Arkansas and moved with his family to Snyder, Texas where he attended school. After school he was married to Linda Jean (Massingill) at Snyder, Texas on February 21, 1959.

Danne and Linda moved to various towns and held many positions following the oil and natural gas industry within the Permian Basin. In 1970 they moved to Elk City where they made their home and raised their children. In 1989 Danne retired and they moved to Cheyenne and later to Hammon, Oklahoma in 2001 to make their home. Danne could be seen working on his yard, serving on the Hammon city board, and was a past Master of the Masonic Lodge of Cheyenne. He also enjoyed farming and would never leave the house without his dog, Sooner/ Spot.

He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, R.C. Beason, Mae Permenter, Harless Beason, and Betty Strauser; twobrothers- in-law, Frank Strauser, and Dewey Permenter; and one nephew, Frankie Strauser.

Danne is survived by his wife, Linda; four children, Richard Beason, League City, TX, Kerry Beason, Hammon, OK, Shelly Flick and husband, Alan, Hammon, OK, Laura Miller and husband, Kevin, Strong City, OK; five grandchildren, Chancen Flick and wife, Mackenzie, Caleb Flick and wife, Whitney, Danielle Kemendo and husband, Kevin, Radley Beason and Lane Hawkins; seven great grandchildren, Camren, Addison, Carson, Caura, Lizzie, Case, and Cali; two brothers-in-law, K.B. Massingill and wife, Laura and Gary Massingill and a host of loving relatives and friends.

The family ask that memorial donations be made to Red Hill Cemetery or the Hammon, Church of Christ in Danne’s name.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 10th, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the Hammon Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Red Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Chris Whinery and the staff of Affordable Cremation Service-West. Condolences can be made online at www. classicfunerals.com
