DeeAnna Pratt was born to Alden & Judy Smith in Guthrie, OK on February 27, 1961, she was the second of her mother’s eight children and sometimes acted as a surrogate mother for many of her siblings throughout their lives.
She lived with her family in Crescent and Duncan until 1970 when she moved to the Tipton Home. She resided there until graduation from Tipton High School in 1979. On February 1, 1980 she married her high school sweetheart, Wes Pratt and settled in Cheyenne, Oklahoma where they raised their four children. Working as a secretary at the Roger Mills County Courthouse for about twenty years, DeeAnna made many friends throughout the years in the Cheyenne area.
DeeAnna loved sports as a girl and continued to play softball as an adult for many years, sharing this love with her children, spending hours teaching and encouraging them. She always enjoyed spending time with her family playing Yahtzee, Wahoo and cards, and loved playing Bunko with her new friends in Colorado. DeeAnna’s talents showed through her creativity and organizational skills, as a talented seamstress she often made handmade gifts for people and loved woodworking and building projects. As a team, Wes and DeeAnna could fix or build anything. When they decided to retire to Colorado, they designed and built their home almost entirely on their own. She was excited to be in her new home state and joined the Custer Co. school board to be a part of the community she now called home. Often, she would plan family day trips to explore her new home state and all it offered. DeeAnna is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Carla and Rhonda. She is survived by her husband Wes, her children: Brent & Desirae (Pratt) Brennan of Lawton, OK, Monty & Jessica (Pratt) Corbet of Dalhart, TX, Becki (Pratt) Stockton of Westcliffe, CO, and David Pratt, of Austin, TX; her eleven grandchildren: Jenessa, Cassidy, Jackson, Madison, Emma, Tinsley, Austin, Grayson, Tate, Collin, and Wesley, and her siblings: Randy, Mina, Rusty & Sherry, J.J., all of Oklahoma.
