Saturday, October 14, 2023 proved to be the Best Party West of Highway 283. The streets were full of car lovers, lookers and alumni!! There were 650 individuals that signed up for prizes.
The day started with the Auto Showcase in front of the Rook. Cars, trucks and motorcycles revved their engines and showed off their bright colors and unique styles. The morning winner were Most Authentic Bill Olson’s 1950 Chevy. Best in Show Justin Atkins 1973 Ford F100. Judges Favorite was the 1934 Ford Coupe owned Randy O’Neil. Best Hot Rod was Danny Whitson’s Camaro, and the Best Motorcycle was Stacy Henry.
The evening winners were Judge’s Favorite 1965 Mustang owned by Jonna Fisher Bernhardt. Most Authentic was the 1956 Plymouth owned by Melisa Moorman. Cory Moler had the Best Hot Rod with his 1980 Nova and Dwayne Roark had the Best in Show with his 1950 Black Ford Coupe.
Scott Martin, Chris Bailey and Bryce Hay coordinated the Hot Wheels Races. Casen Allen had the fastest car, followed by Mia Gonzales and Ivy Orgain.
Clint Alford with Washita Woodwork and Joshua Haven with Security State Bank put on a great Cornhole Tournament. Lower Tournament winners were First place Aaron and Sam Broadwater, Second place Garrett Underwood and Ray and Third Place Brenan and Chris Bailey.
The Upper Tournament winners were First place Juan Silva and Flo Zamora, Second place Derrick Orange and Cody Youngbull and Third place Beej Carter and Garrett Snay.
The Best 80s Hair was won by Rebeca Wright and Dance Contest winners were First Caleigh King, Second Brilynn Legrand and Third Knox Leach.
The Chaz Bryan Memorial Stereo Contest winners were First Cole Hartley and Second Gage Smeltzer.
Colton Lee was the Golden Ticket winner. Roger Mills County Farm Bureau / Roy Garrison Ball Drop Winners were Jaylinn Beavin $20, Don & Arlie Bailey $100, Lisa Boyett $40, Joey Hough $50, Chris Beach $20, Clayton Bailey $20 and unknown $20.

Other prize winners were Ashley Haven, Macy Sandoval, Mitzie Marshall, Krystal Bailey, Jason Hartley, Stephanie DeLaCruz, Dena Rowlan, Jacob Suarez, Casey King, Jace Marrow, Gabe Cavazos, Jessica Key, Jasmine Redd, John Six, Vanessa Vega, Ivy Orgain, Will Bentley, Zayne Meek, Scottie Haven, Lee Roark, Elena Pierce, Clay Kirk, Cheyenne Shelton, Emerson Marrow, Mason Hartley, Kimbo Denney, Judd Rowlan, Chelsea Wiley, Atlas Bailey, Jay Beavin and Mason Martinez. Riley Lara was the Grand Prize Winner of $1,000.00.
The night ended with the first rock concert in Cheyenne featuring Next Halen. The concert was sponsored by Chris and Robin Wilhite.
