I was saddened to hear of Joan Smith’s passing. She was 91 years young and had been in failing health for quite a few years. She had recovered from a stroke and hip surgery some time ago.She was a very dedicated member of her and Albert’s church of Christ as long as her health allowed her to. She served many years as secretary for the Durham Willing Workers Club. She was a registered surgical nurse at Shattuck until her retirement. She is survived by two daughters Becky and Jennie and their families. She will be interred with her first husband…
