The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle injury accident October 16, 2022 at 3:35am. The accident occurred two miles south and four miles west of Hammon in Roger Mills County. The unidentified 16-year-old, male juvenile of Elk City was traveling eastbound in a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado when he failed to negotiate a curve. The pickup rolled approximately two times and the drive was ejected. He was transported by Elk City EMS to Great Plains Regional Medical Center.
