
Freddie Eugene Stamper, 76, of Sayre, Oklahoma was born on April 10,1946 in Pampa, Texas. He is the son of Gordon Ulysses Stamper and Ethel (Pitcock) Stamper. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at his residence in Sayre, Oklahoma surrounded by his loving family.
Gene graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. He worked as a carpenter and truck driver for Farmer Supply. He enjoyed spending his free time woodworking, attending auctions, and watching movies.
He was a collector and collected Star Wars, Star Trek, and trains. Gene was a member of the First Methodist Church, Cheyenne, Oklahoma. He loved being with his family, kids, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Gene married Mary Jacqueline Aston on November 22, 2008 in Sayre, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday March 8, 2023 at Rose Chapel at Martin-Dugger Funeral Home, Sayre, Oklahoma. Rev. Larry Parvin will officiate. Interment will be at Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the care of Richard and Tammy Dugger and the staff of Martin- Dugger Funeral Home in Sayre, Oklahoma.
Cherishing Gene’s memory is his wife Mary Stamper, Sayre, Oklahoma; four sons, Keith Dobbs and his wife Tina, of Elk City, Oklahoma, Keven Stamper, of Cheyenne, Oklahoma, Kyle Stamper, of Cheyenne, Oklahoma, Kelton Stamper, of Reydon, Oklahoma; two daughters, Christy Manhart and her husband Clayton, of Elk City, Oklahoma, Michelle Brookman and her husband Richard, of Bucklin, Kansas; one sister, Loyette Buffum, of Overbrook, Kansas; twelve grandchildren; two great grandchildren with one on the way. He is preceded in death by parents, first wife Carrol, two brothers; G.A. Stamper, Billy Stamper.
