Hindman Resigns

John Michael Gerald “Jackie” Hindman resigned from his office as Roger Mills County Commissioner of District 3 at the commissioners meeting on Tuesday, September 3, 2019. Hindman had pled guilty to the charge of Possession of Firearm with Former Conviction, a charge that occurred on December 29, 2018. He was suspended from his position as commissioner on August 20, 2019. The Governor’s office is in the process of appointing an interim successor until a special election can be held. The election could be held as early as November or will be held in February 2020.
