January 5, 2021 Jauwan Lee Moore Jr. left this world to reunite with his dad Spud, his mom Linda, other relatives and friends at the age of 49 yrs. 9 months and 29 days.
Jauwan was born March 7, 1971 in Sayre, OK to Jauwan “Spud” Lee Moore Sr. and Linda Ann Reel Moore Broussard. Jauwan grew up at Merritt, Carter and Cheyenne, OK. Growing up he enjoyed riding 3 wheelers, go-carts and odyssey’s, really anything that would go fast and spin out. He also enjoyed fishing and hanging out with friends and family, especially his cousins. He loved playing baseball from the time he started kindergarten through high school. While in high school he was a member of FFA, he enjoyed his shop classes and showing cattle. He also worked at Cheyenne Feed and Grain after he got his driver’s license.
Jauwan graduated from Cheyenne High School in 1990 and briefly went to Liberal, KS on a baseball scholarship before returning to Cheyenne. He then began his career in the Oilfield with 26 years in the industry. He started out on oil rigs learning everything he could to advance his way up to Consultant. He loved his job and worked hard to climb up to the next level. He traveled overseas and offshore. Jauwan definitely was a frequent flyer and with millions of flying points to spare. He and Delta were on a first-name basis. He bought keepsakes from every country he went to and had it nicely displayed in his house. He was happy to tell anyone the story behind each of them. Throughout his career he had little down time because he could not be idle, it wasn’t in his nature. He would work long stints, would return home get a call, and head back out. Or he’d return home, get what he needed to get done and then say well nothing else to do so I’ll call the boss and see if anyone’s needing help or relief and off he’d go. Jauwan was very proud of his daughter Rylee and son Xander for becoming fine young adults.
He is preceded in death by both parents, Spud Moore, and Linda Broussard, two brothers, Billy Reel and Christopher Moore, grandparents, Jay Moore, Wenona Briggs Moore, J.C. Reel and Delores Graham Reel Vandine.
He is survived by his two children, daughter Rylee Moore and son Xander Moore, sister, Shawnda Moore Callahan and husband Dusty, brother, Shawn Broussard, two nieces, Karlee Callahan, Kassidy Callahan, nephew, Ryder Callahan, grandmother, Wilda Broussard and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
