Jimmy Jake Ford 1948 ~ 2023

Jimmy Jake Ford was born September 27, 1948 and passed away on May 15, 2023. He lived in Alexander, Arkansas and died at the VA Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas at the age of 74.
Jimmy was a high school graduate of the Class of 1966 and worked most of his life running a printing press for newspapers. He finished his career working for Whatkins in Mabelville, Arkansas where he worked for twenty plus years. You could say Jimmy had ink in his viens.
Jimmy was born in Dumas, Texas and grew up in the small town of Cheyenne, Oklahoma where he got his first job as a printer for the Cheyenne Star. Jimmy moved to Alexander, Arkansas where he made his home for thirty years. He was a Vietnam era veteran of the US Navy from which he was honorably discharged.
Jimmy was never married or had any children, but he had scores of friends.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents Jake and Opal Ford, two sisters, Charlenne Philips and Betty Garris, two brother-in-laws, Preston Philips and Robert Garris and sister-in-law Regena Ford.
He is survived by his brother Donnie Ford of Cheyenne, OK and numerous nieces and nephews Jimmy will be entombed at National Cemetery, Fort Sill, at a later date.
