Jody Wright 1964 ~ 2020

Jody Wright was born March 19, 1964 in Leadville, Colorado to Geraldine Lucile (Vertrees) and Paul Andrew. She passed away Sunday, March 15th, 2020 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma at the age of 55 years, 11 months and 25 days.

As a young girl she moved to Cheyenne, Oklahoma with her family. She attended Cheyenne High School and worked as a CNA at Roger Mills Hospital. She met and was eventually married to Charles Wright in April of 1984. They made their home in Cheyenne where they raised their family. Jody helped her husband on their farm until 2015 when she attended Heartland Conference where she was valedictorian of her class and obtained her theology degree. After graduation she began pastoring the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Cheyenne, Oklahoma where she remained until present. Jody enjoyed her family and especially her grandchildren which were her passion in life.

She is preceded in death by her father; one brother, Paul Phillips and one sister, Anna Rice. Jody is survived by her husband, Charles, of the home; 5 children, Dustin Wright and wife, Amanda, Josh Wright and wife, Rebeca, Samuel Wright and wife, Ashley, all of Cheyenne, OK, Michael Wright and wife, Sherry and Melda Wright and husband, Anthony Pennington, both of Elk City, OK; 11 grandchildren, Zane Kendall, Braylee Wright, Libbie Wright, Beigelee Wright, Bailer Wright, Remington Wright, Kyler Wright, Dawson Mitchell, Miles Pennington, Karen Wright and Brianna Wright; 2 great grandchildren; her mother, Geraldine Phillips, Blackwell, OK; 3 sisters, Rita Jones, Debbie White and May Phillips; 3 brothers, Charles Phillips, Warren Phillips and Kit Phillips and a host of other relatives and friends.
