Johnny Wayne Skipworth, 71, of Elk City, Oklahoma was born on September 12, 1950 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma, to Waymon Lee and Joyce (McDaniel) Skipworth. Johnny went to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, April 10, 2022 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma surrounded by his loving family.
Johnny was married to Kathryn Gail (Beene) Skipworth on February 14, 1996. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy during Vietnam. Johnny enjoyed trading guns, cars and motorcycles. He loved shooting guns and watching westerns. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family and dogs.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at the Martin-Dugger Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at the Fairlawn Cemetery, Elk City, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the care of Richard and Tammy Dugger and the staff of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma.
Cherishing his memory is his wife, Kathryn Gail Skipworth of Elk City, Oklahoma; one stepson, Chris Sanders and his wife, Amy of Sentinel, Oklahoma; five daughters, Jessica Skipworth of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Heather Crabtree of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, step-daughter, Kandii Newberry and her husband, Justin of Burns Flat, Oklahoma, Michelle Chervenka and her husband, Bradley of Canute, Oklahoma, step-daughter, Jennifer Cleveland and her husband, Jason of Elk City, Oklahoma; thirteen grandchildren, Destinie Beath of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Bubba Skipworth of Canute, Oklahoma, Kristen Hart of Elk City, Oklahoma, Jordan Morrison of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma, Austin Downey of Edmond, Oklahoma, Ashton Skipworth-Chervenka and her fiancee, Clayton Ewer of Canute, Oklahoma, Lorsa Hughes of Burns Flat, Oklahoma, Allison Cleveland of Elk City, Oklahoma, Hailey Lloyd of Elk City, Oklahoma, Rylee Sanders Sentinel, Oklahoma, Mavrick Sanders of Sentinel, Oklahoma, Jadyn Cleveland of Elk City, Oklahoma and Gabe Crabtree of Weatherford, Oklahoma; and two great grandchildren.
