Julia T. Leonard was born January 17th, 1955 in Berkley, California to Olojio Arturo “Archie” and Nora Ida (Martinez) Trujillo. She passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021 at her home in Cheyenne, Oklahoma at the age of 66 years, 7 months and 16 days. As a young child she grew up in Berkley, California. She moved with her family at the age of 3 to Denver, Colorado where she attended school thru her graduation in 1973. After graduation she was married to Jack Johnson and to this union two children were born. They remained in Colorado until 1979 when they moved to Cheyenne following the work in the oil field.
After their relationship dissolved, she later met Gary Leonard. They were later married on June 8th, 1985 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma and they continued to make their home there. Julia found employment as a waitress, at Dobson Telephone Co. and was a secretary for the Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce. Julia was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Her passion was her family and they describe her as the center of their family and she loved like no other. She also enjoyed gardening, listening to music, camping and fishing.
She is preceded in death by her father and one daughter, Jaime Lee Johnson.
Julia is survived by her husband, Gary, of the home; two children, Candace Leonard, Sayre, OK and Jeremiah Johnson Leonard, Dallas, TX; seven grandchildren; her mother, Nora Trujillo, Denver, CO; three sisters, Joyce Sago, Myra Sasser and Lenore Miera; three brothers, Dennis, Alan and Ben Trujillo and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 8th, 2021 at the Cheyenne First Baptist Church at 10:00 A.M. officiated by Casey King.
