Katherine Lorena Bacon 1925 ~ 2022


Katherine Lorena (Trent) Bacon passed from this life on May 2, 2022, in Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 97. Katherine was born on August 8, 1925 to Isaac and Pearl Trent in Morristown, Tennessee.

She was raised in Oxford, Kansas where she attended school. At age 19 she moved to spend eight months with her brother Everett. After she went to Chicago for three months with her sister Ada later moving to Arkansas City, Kansas to live with her brother Emory until she married at the age of 25. Katherine was a longtime member of the Grandview Assembly of God Church, she could play the piano by ear since she was 5 years old. She enjoyed crocheting, loom knitting, sewing, puzzle books and most of all her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Charlotte Creswell and husband Rick, Jacquelyn Padgett and husband Marc, Linda McDaniel, numerous grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Katherine is preceded in death by her partner, Floyd Eugene McDaniel, parents, Isaac Tipton and Pearl Gertrude “Robertson” Trent and all of her siblings. Services for Katherine were held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, 2:00 P.M. at the Grandview Assembly- God Church located at 1220 N. Pioneer Rd. Elk City, with Pastor Kurtis Ivey officiating.
