Coaches Comments: We pushed the ball well and were able to impose our will from the start. We got good bench play from Macy and Bria and our starters were just a level above where they are right now. Everyone got to play and we know that Vici will be tough on Friday.

The Lady Bears jumped to a 10-4 lead, but foul trouble sent Hayley Whiteneck and Chloe McEntire to the bench early in the 1st quarter and the Lady Indians cut the lead to 13-9 after 1. The second quarter was tied several times but C/R would lead by 2 at the break 25-23 behind Jaidyn Greer who hit 14 of her game high 17 points in the first half.
The 3rd quarter was a defensive struggle and the Lady Bears led by 6 heading into the final stanza. Vici battled back and a five-point run cut the lead to 42-40 with 3 minutes left to play. Hayley Whiteneck then came to life as she scored 8 of her 10 points in the 4th quarter including 6-6 from the line down the stretch and C/R won by a final count of 48-40. Coaches Comments: We played great post defense and our guards did a great job of helping on their two big post and still contesting the 3’s by their guards. It was a big win. Our schedule is extremely tough this year and we will have to play at a high level each night. Our ball movement was superb but we were missing many open shots. Abbie Ford made her second start of the season and did a nice job on their big post girl. Macy again had a nice job off the bench as well as Sydney Batchelor who didn’t start so we could match up with their size better.
