Leedey Bison

A total of twenty-six FFA members attended the 98th annual State Convention in Tulsa, Oklahoma. At this conference, members attended general sessions, listened to guest speakers, participated in workshops, and elected new state officers.

Leedey FFA members Alexander Palmer and Caroline Hahn received their State FFA degrees to conclude their final night at the conference. Leedey FFA members finished up their trip to the State FFA Convention in Tulsa by serving at the Regional Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma. Members learned that Oklahoma is the 5th hungriest state in the nation and that one in every five kids live in food insecure homes. The Leedey FFA members teamed up with the Alva FFA to pack 1,920 bags and 3,648 pounds of food that will be passed out through the Back Pack Program. This program provides non-perishable and nutritious food to elementary school children to sustain them on weekends and during school holidays. Submitted by Delaney Acuna
