Linda Lucille McGuire Klopfenstein, 73, of Elk City, Oklahoma was born on January 7, 1947 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Edward Raymond and Mildred Lucille (Pettitt) McGuire. She went to be with her heavenly Father on February 17, 2020 at her residence in Sayre, Oklahoma.

Growing up Linda was an active member of the First Assembly of God Church in Elk City, Oklahoma. She graduated from Elk City High School, Class of 1965. Linda then attended Southwest Assembly of God College in Waxahachie, Texas. She started writing to Roger while he was in Vietnam, when he returned, they started dating. Linda and Roger married on October 17, 1969 in Elk City, Oklahoma. They were happily married for over fifty years. Throughout the marriage they live in Berlin, Oklahoma City, Tuttle. Elk City and Sayre. Throughout her life Linda worked for Oklahoma County taking census data and at Puckett’s in Sayre as a bookkeeper for several years. She also worked at home, helping with Roger take care of the farm and auctions as well as being a preachers’ wife.

Linda loved being a homeroom mother and going on fieldtrips with her sons when they were young. When they got older, she was a senior class parent and helped with multiple school functions. She enjoyed crocheting, cross-stitch, gardening and cooking.

Linda had a special love for family and family reunions. She attended the Klopfenstein Family Reunion for thirty-three years without missing one. She was an active member of Gateway Church, Elk City, Oklahoma.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 22, 2020 at the Gateway Church, Elk City, Oklahoma. Rev. Greg Newton will officiate, Chasten Music will assist. Interment will be in Berlin Cemetery, Berlin, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the care of Martin- Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma.

Cherishing her memory is husband, Roger Klopfenstein of Berlin, Oklahoma; son, Jason Klopfenstein and his wife, Marsha of Tuttle; grandson, Nate Hanning and his wife, Lauren of Roswell, Texas; brother, Raymond McGuire of California; sister-in-law, Eleanor Wheeler of Berlin, Oklahoma and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her two sons, Jonathan Klopfenstein and Tony Klopfenstein; parents, Edward and Mildred McGuire; brother, Damon McGuire.Memorials can be made to Gateway Church or the Berlin Cemetery Association in care of Martin- Dugger Funeral Home, P.O.
