Local Conservation Contest Lands Regional Winner

The Upper Washita Conservation District hosts several local contests during the month of September, and the district’s scholarship contest entry from 2022-23 has just earned regional honors. Reagan Buschbacher, whose essay entry in the Oklahoma Association of Conservation Districts and OACD Auxiliary scholarship contest won state honors at the OACD State Meeting held in February, received notification this week that her essay is the South-Central Region Auxiliary Scholarship winner as well.According to the OACD, scholarship applicants must be a child or grandchild of a District Director/ Manager, Conservation Employee, or NRCS seeking a higher education at a Trade School, College…
