Martin Vallez Hernandez was born April 10, 1959 to Santos and Pauline Hernandez He passed from this life on October 26th, 2021 at the age of 62 years, 6 months and 10 days. At the age of 12, Martin and his family moved to Memphis, Texas, where he grew up. Martin resided in this area most of his adult life working for farmers and ranchers. In the Fall of 2003, Martin asked Dawn if she would like to come help with stripping cotton and build the modules. Of course, that was fun and she needed the work. During this time is when Martin met his future love, Dawn. Working long days, they soon struck up a bond that kept them inseparable, to this new relationship were 3 children. Martin had 2 girls, Jennifer Pauline, and Janice Nicole, and Dawn, a son Kervyn Lee While residing in Texas, Martin and Dawn attended Clarendon Church of the Nazarene, where on July 11, 2004, Martin accepted Jesus Christ as his lord and Savior. Oh, what a happy day that was for Dawn and Martin. Over time Martin and Dawn moved to Oklahoma where they married on February 13, 2013 and beginning a family of their own. To this union, 2 beautiful daughters, Jaidyn Vallez, and Jaeley Dawn were born. These girls were Martin’s pride and joy. He loved every minute he spent with his family. Martin and Dawn settled their family home outside of Leedey, where Martin made sure he had a pond behind his house to fish. This was priority before even moving the house in. Martin spent many hours working hard for his family. He had “Hernandez Fencing & Welding”, for over 14 years for which he took great pride in building fence and fabricating things to make his job a little easier. Over the years, Martin enjoyed hunting, fishing, and lots of BBQ’N. Loved being outdoors and hanging with friends and family. Martin and Dawn began fostering children in 2019, where Martin got to love on lots of little ones, but also give the older kids some good ol’ fashion manly raising if need be. Martin loved little kids and always had a smiling face when they showed up for the day. Martin also, as much as he would say they were good for nothing, He sure loved his little dogs, Patches, Hefe’, Salt, Charlie, Rosco and Poe. Also, the 2 cats, Mouse and Scooter.

Martin Is survived by his wife Dawn, four daughters, Jaidyn and Jaeley of the home and Jennifer Rodriquez and family and Janice Marques and Family of Amarillo Texas. One Stepson Kervyn and wife Jessica, Childress, Texas Siblings, Sisters Roseanne, Josephine, Anita, Janey and Mary, Brother, J.R. all of Texas. A slew of nieces, nephews, cousins and inlaws all keeping his memory alive.

Martin is proceeded in death by his parents, Santos and Pauline Hernandez, 2 brothers, Sammy and Mike and 1 sister Rita Hernandez. Memorials may be made to Shaw Funeral Home to go towards cost of service in care of Shaw Funeral Home, P.O. Box 276, Vici, OK 73859.

Services were held Monday November 1, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Leedey Harvest Fellowship Church with burial following service at Rhea Cemetery, Leedey, OK. Condolences may be made to the family at shawfuneralhome.net. Shaw Funeral Home of Leedey
