Metcalfe Announces Art Contest Winners

With the end of October comes the 2020 Annual Augusta Metcalfe Art Competition. The usual flurry of activity in the art departments of participating schools culminated in well-packaged art entries arriving at the museum by Oct 22. Students from Cheyenne, Elk City, Kelton, TX., Sweetwater, Sayre, Fargo-Gage, Mooreland, and Alva all sent their best work. After a crew of museum board members spent hours checking, sorting, and tagging the 266 entries, judge Thomas Dobbs, artist and retired art educator from Hammon, selected the winners.
