New Name & New Sign at First Methodist Church Celebrating 130 Years

Since its inception in 1893, the First Methodist Church has always been a Methodist Church, founded on a desire to serve God and the Cheyenne community. The Church has changed its name many times over the years, beginning as Miller Methodist Church in 1893 before becoming First Methodist Episcopal Church, South in 1924 and First Methodist Church in 1939.However, it was in 1961, with the help of KC Perryman, that the Church incorporated as The First Methodist Church, Cheyenne, OK and their corporate name has never changed.
