November is National Family Caregivers Month #CaregivingHappens

Joanie Swanson — November is National Family Caregivers Month. Theme 2022 theme is “#CaregivingHappens,” to acknowledge the reality that family caregiving is not always convenient or expected. This month, caregivers are honored for their dedication in taking care of their loved ones. It is important that caregivers know they are not alone in their struggle to help their loved ones. The South Western Oklahoma Development Authority (SWODA) Area Agency on Aging (AAA) has a program that may benefit many caregivers in southwestern Oklahoma.
