CHEYENNE, Oklahoma: Richard Zahm has worked at Washita Battlefield National Historic Site as a Park Ranger for 16 years. Before coming to Washita, Richard worked as a ranger and an intern at Pea Ridge National Military Park, volunteered at George Washington Carver National Historic Site, and was an intern at Big Sugar State Park. About halfway through college while working for Joplin Bike as a mechanic/salesman, Richard suffered a stroke. He woke from his coma a month later, and after two years in rehab, where Richard decided that his disability was not going to define him, he returned to college.…
