Pauline Fay Pennington 1946 ~ 2021


Pauline Fay Pennington was born July 14, 1946 in her parents home near Durham, Oklahoma to Freda (Lewis) and Norman Widener. She passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at her home in Reydon, Oklahoma at the age of 75 years and 7 days. Pauline grew up in Reydon, Oklahoma where she attended school graduating in 1964. After graduation she furthered her education at Southwestern Oklahoma State University where she majored in business.
She was married to her high school sweetheart, Larry Dale Pennington on August 20th, 1965. They briefly made their home in Okarche, Oklahoma before returning to the Reydon area where they began their dairy operation. After close to 10 years of running their dairy, Pauline was employed by the Cheyenne Star for a few years and also at the Roger Mills DHS Office. In the mid 80’s she began working at the school as an administrative assistant.
Pauline also worked for the city of Reydon in the water department up until the early 2000’s when she retired. Pauline enjoyed singing locally at graduations and other events.
She also enjoyed reading, watching westerns, coloring and spending time with her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 53 years; sister, Elaine Wright and Dale Potts. Pauline is survived by her two sons, Neal Pennington and wife, Darla, Elk City, OK and Marty Pennington and wife Stephanie, Elk City, OK; three grandchildren, Summer, Max and Cooper Pennington; two brothers, Clifford Widener and wife, Crystal and Glenn Widener and wife, Sharon; three sisters, Sharon Hyland and husband, Bob, Carolyn Burrows, Toni Swartwood and husband, Bill; two brothers-in-law, Glen Wright and Don Pennington; one sister-in-law, Charlene Heronema and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Pauline’s caregivers and the nurses and staff of Comforting Hands Hospice.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 26, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Reydon Community Building officiated by Chuck Milner and Lindy Sasser. Burial will follow at White Rose Cemetery under the direction of Chris Whinery and the staff of Affordable Cremation Service-West. Condolences can be made online at www.
