Polly Anne Walker 1975 ~ 2021


Polly Anne Walker was born July 13, 1975 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Donna Anne (Mullen) Jones and Arthur Gale Barker. She passed away Monday, July 19, 2021 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 46 years and 6 days.
Polly grew up in Reydon and Sayre, Oklahoma and attended school through the 5th grade at Reydon. She transferred to Sayre Public Schools in the 6th grade.
She furthered her education at Southwestern Oklahoma State University where she received her degree in nursing. Polly was married to Randy Joe Walker on August 8, 2008 in Sayre, Oklahoma. After their marriage they made their home in the Merritt community where they raised their family. Polly continued her education by attending the University of Oklahoma where she received her master’s. Polly dedicated her life to her profession and served many communities in Sayre, Elk City and for the past 10 years has been employed at Western Oklahoma State College teaching and mentoring students in the profession that was dear to her heart. Polly cherished her family, spending time with family and most importantly her grandchild. She also enjoyed historical places and researching genealogy.
She is preceded in death by her father; grandparents; step-father, Jim Jones. Polly is survived by her husband, Randy, of the home; five children, Alisha Moreno, Audry Moreno, Zerekai Moreno, Cody Walker and wife, Kaylie and Dustin Walker; one grandson, Zander Joseph Moreno; her mother, Donna Jones; step-mother, Zoe Ann Barker; siblings, Gayla Ann Barker and wife, Pam Lowery, Shonna Stewart and husband, Rodney, Greg Barker and wife, Theresa, Molly Lindenfelser and husband, Robby, Keri Hall and husband, Aaron and Julie Grieb and husband, Jesse and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family suggest memorial donations be made to metavivor.org Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Elk City First Baptist Church officiated by Dr. Russell Duck.
