Reminder from Your County Assessor

Monday, March 16, 2020 is the deadline to file your personal property assessments without a late penalty. New applications for home- stead exemption must be filed by March 16th. Double homestead exemptions and the valuation freeze applications will also need to be filed by March 16th. To qualify for a double homestead exemption, the total gross income from all sources occupying the same household cannot exceed $20,000. To be eligible for the valuation freeze, you must be six- ty-five (65) years of age by January 1st and your gross household income cannot exceed $68,500. (“Gross household income” is defined in…
