Roger Gale Clarkson, 73, passed away at University Medical Hospital in Lubbock, Tx surrounded by his family, Friday night February 3, 2023. He was born August 31, 1949, son of Ezra Edwin and Christine Montgomery Clarkson in Rector, AR.
Roger was preceded in death by his wife Bertha Gonzales, his parents, one brother and two sisters. Survivors are two sons, Jason and Anna Clarkson, Jared and Callie Clarkson, daughter Audra and Michael Caldwell, three sisters, two bothers, nine grandsons and one great grandson. A stepson Rene and Veronica Gonzales. A stepdaughter Roxanne and Demetria Gamez. And 11 step grandchildren. Roger enjoyed family time, and an outside fire with a good cigar. He started working at an early age driving farm equipment. He started a successful landscape business in Muleshoe, TX. When he sold his business he began driving a truck and after retirement was still driving 18 wheeler trucks with his son Jason when he fell ill.
Roger will be greatly missed. His wishes are cremation with no funeral services. Instead there will be a “Celebration of Roger’s Life” on March 11, 2023 at 1002 Whiteshield Hammon, OK at 4:00 pm where family and friends can reflect on their memories with Roger. BYOB
