The Story of Old Roll by Grace Hanawalt Warren. P.G. Perkins had a little store on his farm 14 miles north of Cheyenne in Old Day County. In 1903 a group of men from the area had a vision of building a new town. They held a meeting and Mr. Perkins agreed to sell thirty acres of land from his homestead for a town site.
