Rook Theater Memories Revisited By Patsy Wells

December 2019 – In our grandparents, Flo and Lee Cole and Vauda and Carl Brown’s lifetime, Saturday’s in Cheyenne, Oklahoma was the place to be. Cheyenne main street was “poppin” with activity. They never missed a Saturday trip to town. It was the day they sold their cream and eggs and bought groceries, and just as important it was a day of visiting with family and friends. Cheyenne main street would be filled with cars, the sidewalks would be running over with people “catching up” with their friends weekly “ups and downs”.
