OKLAHOMA CITY – House Majority Leader Mike Sanders, R-Kingfisher, today commented on news that Pioneer Telephone Cooperative was awarded a $24.2 million grant to connect area residents, businesses and emergency services to high-speed broadband internet in Blaine, Dewey, Ellis and Kingfisher counties. The grant is part of a $29 million package offered by the Trump Administration through the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to meet the needs of people in unserved or underserved areas in rural Oklahoma. An overall investment of $100 million is available through the ReConnect Pilot Program through the Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act.…
