Scams on the Rise

It’s a new year and scams are on the rise again. Many are receiving calls about “your social security number has been comprised”. Some have had calls about deceased family members. As a reminder, DO NOT give out any personal information over the phone. The Social Security Administration nor the Internal Revenue Service will ask you for this information via phone, nor will they ever call you regarding this type of thing. The best thing to do is to hand up immediately. Give them absolutely NO information. Don’t even confirm your name to them. Related
