Small Business Spotlight

The Cheyenne Educational Foundation was formed in 1995 by a group of individuals interested in supporting Cheyenne Schools. Eleven Board members were chosen and paperwork to become a 501c3 nonprofit was filed, using funds won by Sunrise Feed’s ranch rodeo team. Larry Smith’s vision of providing scholarships to all Cheyenne graduates (like an education foundation elsewhere that he had heard about) joined with the idea of providing Grants to Teachers and other support to Cheyenne Schools (like many other education foundations across Oklahoma) to make the Cheyenne Educational Foundation a reality.
