Sue grew up in the Cheyenne and Dempsey areas and attended school in Cheyenne, Reydon and Berlin where she graduated in 1959. At the age of 16 she was married to Benjamin Carl Olson in Grimes, Oklahoma on December 22, 1956. After their marriage they moved to Fort Huachuca, Arizona for a brief time before returning back to western Oklahoma where they made their home and raised their children. Sue began her banking career in 1965 at City National Bank in Sayre, Oklahoma working her way up to Vice President and cashier. After the bank was sold, she worked for Bank of the West in Woodward, OK; Farmers National Bank, Erick, OK and Red River Savings and Loans where she sold annuities. Sue ended her banking career at the 1st State Bank in Canute, Oklahoma after 35 years in the banking industry.

Sue was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was one that enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. Her family described her as a highly intelligent, patient, influential, driven and a great problem solver. Her sons, to this day, think that she had spies around Sayre barring them from getting away with anything. Sue enjoyed quilting and being a part of the quilting club, canning, avid reader, being a part of the home demonstration club, holding officer positions in the National American Banking Women (NABW) organization. But her passion in life was spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren that she loved the “mostest”.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Ray and Dwight Davis and 1 sister, Julie Weber.

She is survived by her husband, Ben, of the home; 2 sons, Al Olson and wife, Leanna, Durant, Oklahoma and Lonnie Olson and wife, Melinda, Hobart, OK; 7 grandchildren, Shayla Nesby, McPherson, KS, Lacy Allison, Durant, OK, Caitlin Rogers and husband, Justin, Broken Arrow, OK, Jordon Olson and wife, Kristi, Abilene, TX, Melia Beagle and husband, Jeff, Edmond, OK, Mariah Ousley and husband, Colby, Oklahoma City, OK and Micah Olson, Hobart, OK; 8 great grandchildren, Kaylee, Maxton, Mallie, Jace, Rylan, Charlee, Holden and Poppy and a host of other relatives and friends.
