Tavi Holland Chosen to Attend Girls State

Tavi Holland, Junior at Cheyenne High School was recently chosen by the local American Legion Auxiliary to attend Girls State on the campus of UCO at Edmond. It is a week of hands-on learning of how our government works through running for an office from Mayor of a mythical city to Governor of a state. A fun filled week of singing “Oklahoma” 157 times and making new friends while campaigning for an office. Tavi won her Senate race, introduced and voted on bills.
