Our thanks go to the Cheyenne Fire Department, who sent three pumper trucks in response to a fire on our farm when lightening struck a transformer pole. The fire went unnoticed for 15 to 30 minutes and had damp conditions and calm winds not prevailed, considerable damage could have been done. As it was, only some fence and about an acre of grass was burned. We also want to thank the Northfork REA, who sent personnel to disconnect the transformer and raise wires.
